After a long wait for this project, hip-hop star, Shazz finally dropped his first album project.. BADDAMAZING truly deserved the wait. The ‘Kasapreko‘ crooner, Shazz Danbauchi better know by his stage name ‘Shazz’ delivered good music in these 10 tracks. Without further ado, here is the BADDAMAZING album review.

SHE KNOW ME Ft. King D – This is one of the songs used to introduce the album, song in whichhe  featured KingD was also produced by King D. Show Me is a low tempo rap tune with a highly melodious hook. was dropped before the album came.

BADDAMAZING – This had an outstanding hip hop instrumental from “Craybeats“, on hearing this tune for the first time, we made a conclusion that this song would be performed at the forthcoming trendkingz show (Feel the Trend). Baddamazing carrying the albums name was expected to be the best album track, but though it had an outstanding rap delivery and an amazing hook, for us it isn’t.

HALIMA Ft. Phlexzywest – Shazz definitely didn’t forget the ladies in this album, Shazz with the help of Phlexzywest’s expertise appreciates his lady “HALIMA” who they promised to love forever. Song which was fused with ‘hausa’ language was produced by King D

FRESH LIKE THIS Ft. Sam Deck & Obizee – It seemed like a track worth anticipating. But in reality, this was trash. The only part of this song that deserved our time was Obizee’s verse and his intro melody, the hook reminds you of the kind of lyrics you come up with in your secondary school days. The song lacked lyrics.

KASAPREKOThis is the song. Kasapreko which is already an award winning song at the LED Awards 2016 VIEW for Song of the Year. instantly made us forgive Shazz for the FRESH LIKE THIS track. This was the main song that introduced the Album

REAL BAD NIGGA Ft. Snowflake – ‘Bad meets Evil’ What more can I say? Classic, though is had a funny hook we still consider this jam an outstanding collaboration.

SLOW DOWN – This is officially the coolest song in this Album. Shazz showed his level of versatility in this tune. this song makes it obvious that Shazz is what the industry is missing.

SCATTER MY MINDSET Ft. Naycha – Amazing from start to finish, wonderful delivery from Naycha, he officially murdered the track.

SMILE FOR ME – Emotional indeed. he talks about success, and how he started back then.

ONLY ONE Ft. Al’ Chaddas – This is also one of my favorites in the album, another song for the ladies. What better way to end the album. God bless Al’ Chaddas for his killer verse.

We were able to talk to Shazz about this project, how it went and his source of inspiration for this project in particular. This was what he had to say:

The Mixtape came about cause I needed to define my music, thoughts and ideas to my fans! I wanted people to understand my music more and I wanted to connect more with my fans. Baddamazing was simply bringing together two words ‘bad’ and ‘amazing’ together, bad in a good sense. It wasn’t an easy project. One of my primary objectives was to make music with other artist which I successfully did in the long run. The first recording of this project started in 2014.
The Mixtape was inspired by my experiences in life, how I feel and what I hope for.
This is my first album project.”

Our Rating – 3.5/5
